Jesus/Immigrants

Jesus says to welcome immigrants.  He says, blessed are those who are poor (immigrants).  He says their lives are worth, just as much, as his, and everyone else's.  That is, the status quo, of God's law.  Helping people, instead of hurting them, is, the key.  You may say, "But why do I have to help?"  I say, "Because the Bible says so:"

'But the stranger that dwells with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.'

- Leviticus 19:34

We were all strangers, in this country, at one point in time.  When it was first inhabited, by Indigenous peoples, they came as strangers.  When Europeans came, from Ireland, England, and Denmark, they were strangers.  Now, when Latinos are coming, they are strangers.  We should treat them, as we should have been treated, when we arrived, back when it was still legal, to be free.

In Jesus name, Amen.
