What happens when we attack our own people? Our peoples' allies? Historical and traditional barriers to pain and suffering, break down. Invincible, is something, that is only ascribed, to God, and Jesus, His son. Invincible, is not something, that man, or woman, possess. Some day, we will all, die. We will face, an accounting, for what we have done. There is a metaphor I'd like to apply:
In a movie I saw, a judge goes to executions, and sits in a place of honor, to see every convict die. A young woman observes this, happening to be in the crowd. She did not want to see the execution, but was there in the area. A man explains to her, "Look up there at that judge! He loves to see justice done!" She replies, "Who knows what's in a man's heart?"
Only God knows. And only God can judge the people of the earth. No matter what election confirms a man, only God will be the judge of a man's heart. It's something to think about as talk of war escalates, with our neighbors, the neighbors who have traditionally supported us, and who we have supported, as well. What is the cause? I would argue, it's a man's heart.
