The conscience. What is it? Some people say, it is God's voice, to you, and I, in this time.
I went to a Catholic school. Growing up, I was taught, about the conscience. It was interesting, hearing about, a supernatural voice, telling you, to "do right," inside, your own, mind. The "conscience," is an English term, that we define as "God's guidance." In some circles, people do not believe, in a conscience. Even more people, have never heard of it.
But, the conscience, is real. It helps people, to make the right decisions, in, their everyday lives. In order to assume, that the conscience, is real, we have, to assume, a deity, of, supernatural, origin. Deities can be, good, but some entities, which are not deities, and are not on your side, are evil. These "supernatural" voices, tell you, to do, bad, things. If you listen, and do not resist, these voices, it will, get worse, and worse. This is called, "temptation."
Temptation, is like, the opposite, of, your, conscience. It is, a way, for you, to do "bad" things, instead of "good" things. The conscience, will tell us to, disobey these "wrong" voices, and obey itself, the "True Voice," of, God! The True Voice, can be, distinguished, by its: 1. Softness, and 2. Stillness. It will only rarely become loud, when you REALLY need to hear it!!! But, other than that, it is, a tender, loving, soft, still, voice.
If you do, hear a voice, and it is not, God's, do not worry. This is, Normal! "Do not worry," about today, or, "tomorrow." (Matthew 6:34) For tomorrow, will worry, about, itself :) For the heavenly father, provides, clothes, for the flowers, and food, for the sparrows, and he will, provide you, with much, much, more! (Matthew 6:26, Matthew 6:28) Including, ways out, of temptation.
In other words, do not worry, about temptation, or when or where you will be tempted. Know, mostly that 1. You are Forgiven, when you ask, of a True Spirit, and 2. You are, Loved, no matter what you choose. The Spirit, sees all. But, he chooses to "let mankind live," despite their hearts, so that He may forgive them, and bring them to peace, in His everlasting, home, forever!!! (1 Kings 8:39-40)
There is one thing, to know, about, the True Voice: it will speak to you, all the days of your life, until you receive, translation, into the next, life. Therefore, we, the faithful, have no excuse, to ignore it.
