Fear of the Lord, or otherworldly fear?

Luke 12:4-7

[4]And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.

[5]But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

[6]Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?

[7]But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Me: This is a proverb of Christ: he says that those who fear death, need not fear death, but to fear the Father, who is above all. He then tells them NOT to fear. For they are worth more than many sparrows. In a way, Jesus is telling one group of people to be afraid, and the other, not to fear!!! Who is he talking to???

Those who "know Him," already have salvation. Therefore they already fear him, so the need not fear death.

Those who "don't yet know Him,_ need to fear Him, in order to escape death, and thus their fear!!!

Praise Jesus for this interpretation. Pray about whom you fear: the Lord, or death? Praise and thanks be to God!!
